bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
prayers and blessings upon our Beloved Prophet Muhammad sollallahu alihi wasallam.
assalamualaykum wr wb:)

it has been a very long time since i shared something here and im not even sure if many of us are still visiting this site.however lately i like to come here and reminiscence the days past when we were all one class in a relatively small school with many, having the aspirations to continue studies in uni. and alhamdulillah because most of us do, and those who did not there in the university of life.my hope is everyone is doing well and striving to be better muslims everyday to achieve His blessings, inshaAllah.

alhamdulillah im in uia right now and this week is ummatic week.ummatic week is really really special coz students from other countries like Kosovo, syria, Bosnia, djibuti, guinea, commorros(juzu qamar) present their countries in dance, performancea, food and through their colourful booths. singapore also have one. the cultural show which i attended yesterday was like around 5 hours and i get to see all the different dances which i could see and wenjoy only i the respective countries or in uia, like the host told us. the hosts were bosnian and a palestinian. and today, there was a food fest with mediterranean, middle eastern, indian,malaysian....food.nice masyaAllah.however...

there is areality that is simmering under the students consciousness.its between locals and international students, especially those from arab countries.putting up facades is a must.pretences second nature. real understanding and true adherence of Islamic ideals? not really and thus i wonder. if the small ummah here(and uia is like a model of diversity)cannot sustain unity, what else on a bigger stage.thats the sad irony here that i see in uia...

as for me, it is simple.everyone is from my brethen so why think so much about all the superficiality?why, isnt the oft-repeated 'the inside is worth more than the outside' say something of truth?cleansing the heart from all this propaganda and being a good muslim is imperative. isnt a good muslim is he who wants the best for his brothers like what he would like for himself?etc?yeah so if someone thinks he/she is better than anyone else just because of nationality, status etc remind them that the best is the one with the best taqwa.if everyone works together, 1 billion muslims could surely rule the world like the golden ages. if not, then too bad...everyone is really misiing on a true lovely partnership....
